| #OL700 Sign of the Tau Rosary 27" long $78. These 8mm Olivewood Ave beads are a beautiful warm color that seems to radiate life. They are a joy to hold. The Pater beads are silver fish that float between bubbles of amber and turquoise chips. The pewter centerpiece is a shield bearing the Alpha and the Omega - God is the beginning and the end. No one comes before and no one comes after. The pewter cross is the Tau cross. In the Old Testament the prophet Ezekiel exhorted (9:4): We are called to reform our lives, to stand in the presence of God as righteous people. God will know us by the sign of the “Tau” marked on our foreheads. St Francis was so inspired by the Tau cross that he chose it as his own crest and signature feeling that the Tau represented his life long fidelity to the Passion of Christ. |

They float between soft green crystals that bring to mind the river Jordan. “Come with me and I will make you fishers of men.” Mark 1:17 The centerpiece is adorned with Saint Bernadette kneeling at the feet of our Lady on one side and a profile of Mary on the reverse. It is very sweet. The petite scale of this rosary makes it a perfect choice for someone with smaller hands. |
| #OL703 Jasper and Olive Wood Rosary 261/2" long $70. These 8mm Ave beads are Jasper. In the book of Exodus, the breastplate of the high priest bore 12 stones. Each stone represented one of the twelve sons of Jacob and in turn one of the 12 tribes of Israel. The twelfth and last stone was Jasper, representing the tribe of Benjamin, Rachael’s youngest son. We think they saved the best for last. We love the feel of this well polished stones. These smooth round stones are in earthy tones of soft sea foam green, rusty brown, sandstone and charcoal. The Pater beads are 10mm Olivewood flanked with tiny crosses. The vintage crucifix is bold and simple to complete the earthy feel of this rosary. The centerpiece is a lovely profile of Mary with the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the flip side. |

| Hold history in your hands. The beads for these rosaries are carved from Olive trees that grow from the soil upon which Jesus walked in and around Bethlehem. Out of great respect, the people of the Holy Land protect the Olive trees refusing to ever cut them down. After the fruit is harvested, the pruning process begins. In the Holy Bible, Jesus spoke of pruning that, there might be stronger life. These sacred and holy olive trees are pruned by hand and the branches are carefully stored inside Bethlehem's caves for a few years. The caves provide ideal conditions for the olive wood to dry gently without splitting or cracking. Bethlehem olive wood is heavy, dense and durable with a distinctive red pigment in its grain. Once carved into beads, the wood is sanded and coated with a special varnish which protects and highlights the texture of the grain. There is no need for oiling or further treatment of any kind since the olive oil inside the wood naturally protects the wood from corrosion. Olive wood is one of the hardest woods on earth. Beads will easily last a lifetime and be admired by generations to come. As it ages, Olive wood beads will become darker and even more beautiful. |
